What is Wisconsin Robotics?

Founded in 2000, Wisconsin Robotics proudly represents the students of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the pursuit of advanced robotic systems. Team members design, test, and implement autonomous and remotely-operated robots for international competitions and practical applications. Additionally, the team's goals include educating the public, developing skills in design and project management, and utilizing skills of a variety of engineering disciplines to be carried forward into student’s professional careers.

Wisconsin Robotics typically competes in one main competition each year. Check out the Our Robots page for more information on the competitions and the robots we built and are actively working on.

In addition to competition, Wisconsin Robotics participates in outreach events across campus and the Madison area. In the past, the team has participated in events such as the Wisconsin Science Festival, as well as meeting with students in local Madison schools to foster the development of interest in robotics.
